PRESS RELEASE: Summer League 'Limousine'

NASHVILLE, TN -- sophisti-pop band, Summer League, announces their third single, Limousine to be released February 11th.

Limousine is a catchy post-breakup song. Fit with horns by Jake Boyer and punchy vocals from lead singer, Fletcher Sapp, Summer League continues to define their sound and make a name for themselves. This is exactly the kind of song you want to play when you’re getting over a breakup, doing homework, cleaning your dorm room, and hanging with friends. The band decided to trade in the cushy studio sound for a song focused on the band’s arrangement. Made to showcase each of the band member’s unique talents, Limousine does exactly that. If you have been to a Summer League show, you know ‘Limousine’ is one of their highest energy songs in the set.

Limousine was written by Fletcher Sapp about a breakup he recently experienced. Limousine will be included on the band’s upcoming full-length album. Although there is not a set release date, there is so much to look forward to. Summer League is excited to announce the release of their ‘Why Do I?’ music video with Josh Jordan in the upcoming weeks. Until then, Summer League is headlining their first show at DRKMTTR on Sunday, February 6th alongside Cort D. and Bean. The show will obviously be incredible but we’re more than excited to hear more from Summer League in this upcoming semester!

ABOUT SUMMER LEAGUE

Summer League is an enthusiastic sophisti-pop band, making music you want to travel back and time with. With hints of George Michael-esque vocals, Ultravox-style keys and catchy lyrics like every late 80s to early 90s hit, Summer League has crafted their sound and band dynamic to make the listener feel they are in their own version of Sixteen Candles or The Breakfast Club. The band consists of lead singer and lead guitarist, Fletcher Sapp, pitcher and drummer, Eli Pfotenhauer, bassists and vocalist, Jackson May, and guitarist, vocalist and keyboardist, Reed Jenkins. The boys met back in their freshman year at Belmont University but the thought of starting Summer League didn’t happen until late August/early September of 2021. Since then, the band has played some incredible shows and are known for their great energy and crowd interaction. Alongside their debut show at Hadley Park, they’ve play with Colorado Straightedge, RV!, and Cort D and The Colortones. Summer League is a feel-good band with an incredible live show.
