PRESS RELEASE: RV! 'Tourist Trapped'

Have you ever wanted to escape your day-to-day life and go to paradise? With RV!’s newest EP, “Tourist Trap,” set to release September 30th, 2022, you just might be able to. LISTEN HERE

“Tourist Trap” encapsulates feelings of nostalgia with the lighthearted melodies and upbeat rhythms we know and love from this local, up-and-coming band.

RV! was started in 2019 by Belmont students Jeff Toth (vocals, rhythm guitar), Eric Capps (drums), Mitch Kreuger (bass, vocals), and Adan Krogel (lead guitar). The band describes these songs as “the classic RV! sound,” saying: “we have been sitting on these songs for a while now, so there's a lot of memories tied to the songs, not just for our friendship as bandmates, but for people who've been hearing them continuously at our shows. It's summer-y in a way that feels nostalgic, has a lot of energy and captures the feeling of exploring a new adventure. The arc of the songs on the album loosley tells the story of going on a vacation to an island and takes the listener through a narrative of how it feels to escape regular life and go to a paradise.”

They wrote a few of the tracks at Eric’s beach house in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. RV! tells us: “the house had no AC, all we did was play music all day, cook fish tacos and hone in on our

sound -- it also took us a while to actually produce it cause we're all so busy with a lot of projects - and though it wasn't always easy having the four of us crammed into different home studios

(we produced it ourselves!), it feels really special to finally have something we are all proud of.”

RV! will be celebrating their EP release with a live performance September 30th, 2022 at the Bento Rooftop. Look forward to flashing back to hot, summer days – even if it is sub-60

degrees outside. LISTEN HERE
